Ngutungka Henley: A Revitalised Hub of Community and Connection
Henley Hub, officially known as Ngutungka Henley, translates to “place of knowledge” in the Kaurna language. This revitalisation project successfully enhances the existing community space, catering to the diverse needs of its residents and fostering a vibrant, inclusive environment.
This significant refurbishment was executed in collaboration with JPE Architects and the builder, Mossop Construction. Together, they crafted a design that harmonises the heritage aspects of the original Town Hall building with a modern extension, ensuring the space is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Ngutungka Henley is designed to accommodate various demographics, with a dedicated children’s area, sporting clinic, meeting spaces, lounge areas, and outdoor seating. Additional features include a cafeteria, public computers, and quiet study zones.
