Prospect Library

Back to projects

The new three-storey Payinthi building is an innovative community hub in Prospect constructed adjacent the 122 year old heritage listed Town Hall. The hub includes an art gallery, library, integrated civic facility and commercial office space.

The City of Prospect and JPE Design Studio took a co-design approach to develop the new facility with an intensive consultation process with Council, staff and the community.

Resource Furniture worked with Council and JPE Design Studio to determine the collection requirements and supply a range of flexible Sliimform library units and custom designs to deliver a stunning library space.

Ben Footner, Manager Library Services at City of Prospect and President of Public Libraries South Australia talks about the project and working with the team at Resource Furniture.

“Working with Resource Furniture to fit out our new facility was a fantastic experience. They were very thorough in their approach, analysing our collection holdings and proposed building design and then creating a concept that met our needs almost immediately with very little need for improvement or alteration”.

“Resource Furniture met all timeframes for construction, delivery and installation and provided comprehensive support for the minor alterations and additions that we needed to make post-move. I would certainly recommend them to anyone embarking on a new build or refurbish.”
