Creating a Future-Ready Library Through Smart Furniture Design
The redevelopment of Rosanna Library has transformed an ageing facility into a vibrant destination designed to support learning, connection and community life.
Working alongside Banyule City Council and K2LD Architects, Resource Furniture supplied custom shelving and furniture solutions that helped bring the vision for a flexible, welcoming and future-ready public space to life.
The expanded facility, now twice the size of the previous library, provides a variety of environments including a larger children’s area, study spaces, community meeting rooms, reading areas, quiet zones, Maternal Child Health services and a toy library.
Thoughtful furniture selection plays an important role in creating spaces that feel comfortable, accessible and inviting. Custom Slimform shelving and book boxes enhance collection displays while maintaining open sightlines, making it easier for visitors to explore and discover.
