Salisbury Community Hub

Back to projects

The new $43.8 million Salisbury Community Hub designed by Hassell is a stunning four-storey, contemporary facility with a multitude of modern and dynamic spaces.

Creating a new social heart for Salisbury, the Hub is a place for the community to come together in a range of flexible spaces that features a new civic centre, information and learning, café, gallery, meeting rooms and terrace area for public use.

Working with Hassell and the City of Salisbury, Resource Furniture assisted with book collection planning and provided a range of flexible Sliimform library shelving to display and house the diverse collection.

Jo Cooper, Manager Community Capacity and Learning Libraries and Community Centres at the City of Salisbury talks about the project and working with the team at Resource Furniture.

“City of Salisbury has previously worked with Resource Furniture on a number of smaller-scale projects which have achieved excellent results. Therefore it was exciting to work with the team again on our biggest project to date.

Working with the Resources Furniture team on the Salisbury Community Hub project has delivered an exceptional outcome, achieving the right balance between style and practicality”.

“The Resource Furniture team consultatively worked with our project leads on space planning, shelving design, delivery and installation. In addition to this, they collaborated with our interior architect to blend Resource Furniture solutions with other bespoke joinery elements to achieve a seamless look. Products are manufactured to a high standard, with modern and clever design elements.

Working with the Resource Furniture team was a positive experience as they took the time to listen and made suggestions based on our requirements. They were patient and accommodating with variations, and demonstrated high attention to detail”.
