Miltaburra Area School

Miltaburra Area School in regional South Australia caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 12 and is unique in that it is not supported by a township, but rather small rural and coastal communities, the closest being 23km to the east.

After visiting the Port Lincoln Library and being inspired by the recent RF fitout, Sondra Kessell saw the need to update the Miltaburra School Library to suit the needs of their broad age group of students and improve the way in which they interact with the space.

Wedges are used throughout the library to form curved free flowing spaces and create quiet reading areas for students to sit and relax with their favourite book.
