The $2.5m STEM works refurbishment at Salisbury High School has created an exciting space that encourages imagination and allows students to experiment, trial and research. The contemporary facilities support cutting-edge teaching and learning approaches to help prepare students for future jobs in a range of industries.
Formerly a much compartmentalised space, Greenway Architects created a contemporary design that now includes a mix of open and closed spaces of differing sizes and configurations to enable flexible use.
A range of products such as mobile work benches and Mit stools have been used throughout lab spaces. Breakout areas link the teaching and meeting spaces and include Bend soft seating, Wing chairs and Tar 30 tables. And Spacio chairs, Trama and Prisma tables are utilised in teaching zones.
